I'm with Lebowski. I like Tool's whole psychedelic theme/artwork/some of their trippy interludes and stuff, but I feel that's all just pretty wallpaper plastered over really boring and cheesy metal. Making your songs with two ideas drag on for eight minutes doesn't make you a prog band; their very appealing psych aesthetic is completely let down by the fact the music itself is dull as fuck.

If you're guitarists, i can slightly understand why you might think it's boring. If you're a drummer, bassist or singer then
you have no excuse, and i really do pity you for not realising how awesome this album is.
