she made a song called "royals" supposedly anti hip hop consumerism/hip hop excess yet she is
influenced by kanye west tho he is very talented he is the epitome of those things wtf.she makes the
assumption that rappers rapping about this excess come from wealth.which is the farthest from the
truth most legit MCs/Rappers come circumstances of extreme poverty.i respect her opinion about that
kind of "hood rich" lifestyle cause me personally i ain't "bout dat life" & prefer a more humble
existence myself.she just irks me the wrong way.that song is just flat out ignorant in that she has
the mentality that she is superior/above those who live that lifestyle.

royals doesn't sound to me like an attack on that lifestyle but rather an expression of the disconnection from artists making radio music she felt as a regular teenager in the land of the long white cloud

almost certainly not an attack on anything

don't know where you even got "she makes the assumption that rappers rapping about this excess come from wealth" from

hows that she is a fan/influenced by kanye he makes "radio music" the lyrics are a direct attack on
that demographic.

But every song's like gold teeth, grey goose, trippin' in the bathroom.
Blood stains, ball gowns, trashin' the hotel room,
We don't care, we're driving Cadillacs in our dreams.
But everybody's like Cristal, Maybach, diamonds on your timepiece.
Jet planes, islands, tigers on a gold leash
We don't care, we aren't caught up in your love affair

also wtf is wrong with being influenced as a musician by kanye?

disregarding his lifestyle, which is irrelevant because keyword 'musician', and even disregarding his lyrical content, the dude is a crazy talented producer and pumps out tune after tune

his lifestyle directly impacts his art he raps about hip hop excess."royals" is anti hip hop
consumerism/hip hop excess yet kanye is the epitome of those things.thats bullshit she is a teen who
is directly/indirectly influenced by hip hop consumerism/hip hop excess yet she is criticizing
others.nothing is wrong with being influenced as a musician by kanye but don't criticize others for a
life style you are directly/indirectly influenced by.it's plain as day in the lyrics if you don't
take it that way i don't know what to say it's your opinion but i'm not the only person who feels
this way.
