Oh really? I know I've seen live vids where he's center stage and acting almost like you'd expect any frontman to so I guess I was expecting that. Took me half of the grudge to figure out where he was haha

Huh that's funny, maybe those were older videos? As far as I know he's been standing next to the drum kit at the back of the stage for a long time

Yep. He didn't even take a bow with the rest of the band at the end of the show
|
| |
My bad I was thinking of a video of an outdoor concert so the stage was fully lit and he couldn't hide in a shadowy corner but you're right he is still standing next to the drum set

Ah ok, makes sense.

My only gripe was the support act. They were actually pretty good, but as my buddy put it, I just didn't want to hear them. Would have liked better to hear Tool play another half hour, ya know?

Pretty sure everyone at the arena felt the same, given the excitement when they announced "This is our last song"

I didn't even bother to go into the arena until the opening band was finished lol. Didn't sound like a fitting opener for Tool at all.

I think there were more people at the bars than in the stands listening to those guys. They were a really bland rehash of 70s prog imo

Yeah sounded like it

Especially since they announced the support act about 2-3 days before the show... I, like many others, thought we were gonna get Tool and nothing else and it would have been better that way lol

I'm going to dip my dick in the tool bucket tomorrow with this album.

So glad it's over...

for real. you know an album is good when you legit just don't care how annoying the interludes are. and they work as conceptual parts of the whole anyway

Yeah I see this growing. I hear they may release all their music on streaming with the release of a new album, idk though. Off of two listens I enjoyed Stinkfist, Eulogy, Ænema, and Third eye the most. Die Eier von Satan reminds me of a Swans song.
