All of their albums are numerically related. Haven't quite figured out how Confield relates to six yet though.

could u fill me in on some of the other ones? (obv like tri repetae and draft 7.30 and lp5 are kinda obvious)

Incunabula - means first book in Latin
Amber - 2nd color on a stoplight. Track 2 is titled Montreal, Montreal is the 2nd largest city in Canada
Tri repetae - obvious
Chiastic Slide - a chiastic structure has four parts
LP5 - obvious
Confield - title references Conway's Game of Life, an exercise in cellular automata; the first track VI score poise has the VI for six?
Draft 7.30 - obvious
Untilted - 8 letters in the title and 8 tracks (weak association I know)
Quaristice - check my comment in the Quaristice thread, but basically there are nine points in four squares, and there are four releases in Quaristice. In addition the catalog number is WARP333, which sums to 9
Oversteps - O = 0, cyclical themes, the album is a return to the ambient techno style æ started with. Also Move of Ten clearly lays out the 10 (also move often, nice pun about dancing)
Exai - X I

Also, catalog number for Draft is 111 - binary for 7. And Untilted is 180, or a straight, un-tilted line.

That's pretty damn awesome
Was listening to 1 1 is at work today - the work on that track is actually outstanding. It genuinely feels like it's moulding and twisting my ears while it's playing.

Yeah the stereo effect on that track is beyond wild

Early days but this is definitely more promising than Confield & perhaps more interesting than Amber. Not at LP5/Tri Repetae levels yet.
I'm intrigued by the potential, just worried about dedicating a year of my life to fully understanding it all.

This is actually one of those few autechre albums that I absolutely loved right away. Holy heck, their confidence and mastery here reaches a new peak.

I just got the mp3. Their long-form stuff like this and elseq don't really seem suited for physical release since it's spread out over so many discs. I like to pop a CD into the player in my car and listen to a full album. The fanboy in me does really want it though.

I like physical copies. And my Exai LP box is beautiful. SOmetimes I just like to take it out and admire it. Each sleeve is so nice.

yeah I couldn't pass up getting the exai box while I had the chance. My phisical copy of quaristice (versions) is probably my most prized possession.
