Yea their last 2 are their best. Shadows is what pulled me into the band during the height of the metalcore boom but they definitely improved after.

Neutral you sound so lame. I love when people dissect a band by what fuckin scales they play rather then just listen to the music. Almost all punk and folk songs are the simplest to play but who gives a shit as long as the songwriting is good. AILD isnt breaking barriers by any stretch but they are one of the most solid and successful metalcore bands for a reason.

their older stuff just sucks and they recycle the same boring melodies and riffs over and over and over since their career began
and don't use mainstream success to justify an album being good
