Oooh that's a tough one I think
One has noisy shred solos and the other has wah infested solos.
You also have 2 guys doing solos for Slayer vs 1 guy for Metallica.
No matter who you pick, their solos suit the style of thrash they play. I can't imagine it working the other way around.

being that i never really bothered with anything after metallica's fifth and i can't stand kirk because of his wahwahs, i'd reckon you being wrong
