Good album. A grower. I wasn’t that impressed with it initially following Morning View, which I consider their best album...but over time, it grew on me. Still no Morning View, Make Yourself, or SCIENCE though.

their playing on this one is just insane. genuinely excellent musicianship paired with this wonderful, luscious variety of tones & synchronization that gets me in full "music nerd" mode - but i'm not just impressed by it, i love listening to it every time. my go-to Incubus record for the past 5+ years

SCIENCE of course had the musicianship as well, & a couple of my favorite Incubus tracks, but I feel like it rode a few too many nu-metal cliches to be on the level of this one for me. good record, I just feel like they had finally reached a peak that was wholly their own on this one (& Morning View, to a slightly lesser degree)
Einzeiger went from being a peer of the dude from Korn to Jonny Greenwood in like 2 albums
