I was a bit underwhelmed at first too, but it grows like crazy after the first couple of listens. album of the year, if not decade, for me

Father and Son is an impressive song technically but not as something I find myself actually wanting to listen to.
I come back to this question of how people listen to this? Like what are you actually doing when you listen to this? The point I was making by raising Burial/Aphex Twin is to contrast BoC with those groups, which have certain elements that make them appealing. Large portions of this album just read like very unsettling background music, and I don't know when I would be in the mood to put this on 😂 even tho the sampling and sound design is obviously good.

Yeah... same lol. I don't really know what else to say outside of that. I just put it on and good times ensue. Doing chores, doing editorial work, just spacing out on my couch, etc.

First Boards of Canada for me, but so far I’m really liking this, looks like I’ve been missing out.
