Progenies of the Great Apocalypse had a huge fucking impact on me when I listened to it as a teenager. It was my first exposure to black metal (and symphonic BM for that measure) and corpse paint. I replayed Vortex's clean section over and over. I honestly didn't stick with the band just because that one song was like the "first kiss" and no other song by the band topped it. But reading that this new one harkens back to this era, I'm going to give it a go.
