"I mean he just admitted he's rating to tip the scales. I guess that's more courteous than other mystery 1ers/5ers/etc, lol"
I mean I can meme and still heavily dislike the album, both are not mutually exclusive
"I like a a lot of death and thrash metal"
"No you do not LMAO."
made a list about my favorite metal albums of every genre and subgenre. I love Inferi, some Archspire, some Megadeth, Vektor, Metallica, some Kreator, Fallujah, Xoth, Vektor, some Testament, some Revocation

Oh, so you don't believe I like them? Lol. My gateway into metal was Metallica, like a lot of other people. My brother and I listened to Metallica and Megadeth all the time. Some Slayer too. Fond memories of playing Hangar 18 on Guitar Hero II. Then I discovered a lot of tech death ones through Clone Hero custom charts. LCD by Vektor is one of the best songs to play on that game to this day.

did you at least shred on guitar hero tundra, I went to Dave and Busters last year and found out I still got it despite not picking up any of those games in probably 15 years.

Full combo'd most of the main setlist of GH3 on expert. Could never get Raining Blood or One. LCD by Vektor is absolutely insane to play on Clone Hero. Requires tremendous precision and endurance. Think most I ever got on it was 97%.

I never had that but seriously some of those base songs might literally be harder on guitar hero than actual guitar lol

And honestly if I remember right nailing those songs on expert with the drums, well you might as well actually start playing because that shit was wild

Think it depends from person to person. I played GH first, so I would consider real guitar harder, personally. Hell, I've been playing real guitar consistently for about 3 years now, I'm still pretty shaky when it comes to arpeggios. GHMetallica was great, indeed.

I've been playing guitar for 24 years - sweep picking is quite possibly the hardest thing (or one of) to get to grips with. I used to concentrate more on lead guitar in my younger days but now I tend to focus more on rhythm.

I usually do too but I just nailed the solo on Almost Easy by Avenged Sevenfold the other day and damn that felt good. Normally I hate playing solos but that one was fun. So rewarding, I probably haven’t smiled that wide in years.

It is a wonderful feeling when you nail a solo dead on, especially a difficult or 'busy' solo.

@Tundra I definitely agree with you that "Swim To The Moon" is a phenomenal song. In fact, that whole album goes hard. Genuinely wish I had it on vinyl.

"They just extend the songs out to ridiculous lengths and that's their extent of 'innovation' "
Lmao why would you be this willfully ignorant and constantly out yourself.
Lots of reasons this isn't for everybody re:length and overall adventurousness and stepping outside of conventional structure but it's clearly their intent to do so and the writing is stellar.
Huge fan of how tastefully they know when to dial it back and hit you with the catchiest riff of all time, elevates this from something I might have fun listening to a couple times to something I see myself coming back to a lot.
