I may have said it in this thread but the Guthrie bit was one of the more nothing/why even? parts of the album for me, probably just an opportunity to work with someone they admire I guess but I did a double take after my first listen because I was like wait which song was he even on?

Interesting! I just put this album on my ipod. Listened to their 1999 ep for the first time, yikes. Reslistened to Persona and Themeta. Just two more albums and I will finally give this album a spin after 13 years of waiting and hearing NO singles

If you like Sound Awake you'll probably like this as well. Karnivool as usual, as if they never made such a long break between albums.
That first ep is pretty fun. Some More of the Same especially.

hard disagree, that was an absolute highlight and impossible to miss if you're familiar with his playing / the band's playing. it's so obviously his as this band doesn't do blues-inspired guitar-hero solos
