These guys just blend nonchalant groove and melody in a really fresh and accessible way

Really enjoying this and happy to see them find a nice blend with the new sound.
I would say it's a mix of the first two albums and makes the future look exciting for what they have in store for us.

Saw someone mention they changed Obsession. What was the change really? Couldn't notice much apart from the annoying girl talking at 2:00 which does kind of ruin that part so I prefer the new version tbh.

Revolver rules. This album is such an easy listen.

The guitar tone sounds way different imo. I prefer the original Obsession. It's bassier and punchier, less "djenty"

Think I might up this to a 4. My shuffle keep bringing this album back into my conscious and I like it a bit more each time.

The chorus on "nerv" is heavenly. I want to smack my first-page self for handwaving this album on release.

This still hasn't left my rotation. Just so well written and composed. And ear-wormy.

I've gone from rating this a 2.5 to cobbling together a justification for a 5. But I think 4.5 is the sweet spot. I think 1 or 2 tracks prevent it from being a true classic. It's great exercise music too. I just put DIESEL on repeat yesterday when I was going through my gorilla row sets. Hard not to headbang during my rests though.

Yeah I definitely ended up liking this more than I did initially. Fun stuff indeed. The level of deftones worship is out of control at times though lol
