^ Yes you do.
Haven is probably No. 4 for me behind those three. Tommy is a great replacement for Khan. Can't wait for their next album.

Omg he sounds like Geoff Tate on Elizabeth II
Which is a good thing

Forever is the kind of thing i was hoping for

Forever is the greatest thing ever
|
| |
i like the way the vocals are in the mix on this one
|
| |
I love when he sings high pitched on it omg
Karma is a great song too
|
| |
Khan always cuts through
I would imagine he would sound so crisp on a power noise album too

The Fourth legacy is great too, but that's pretty much a Conception album

Wouldn't go that far but Lunar Sanctum is basically a Conception song plus maybe Silent Goddess. The rest is too symphonic/folky for the most part

you're forgetting The Spell

even sailor's hymn sound more conception-ish than Kamelot

The Spell is on Karma though.
Sailorman's Hymn feels a bit too folky imo, bears more resemblance to Don't You Cry and the likes than to most Conception songs imo.

I think Karma was the transition album.

I think Fourth Legacy was the point where they started mixing Youngblood's and Khan's styles to one sound. Siege Perilous was obviously still in the likes of the first two albums just with Khan on vocals (and it's noticable that some of the songs weren't particularly written for his voice). I think from Fourth Legacy on it's mostly the home-made Kamelot sound consisting of the sound of the first three albums and what Khan brought with him from the Conception days ... even though Fourth Legacy was a bit more generic in its sound than the following ones (not saying there weren't a few rather generic songs on later albums, not that I mind).
They also had one of those more experimental tracks per album for a while: Lunar Sanctum on Fourth Legacy, The Spell on Karma, Descent of the Archangel on Epica.

damn you know your band RikRoach7.
good thing they evolved. else how different would've they been from other symphonic power metal bands

Yeah, I think it was essential for the band to have these two masterminds, Youngblood who was more the traditional metal guy I think and Khan who was a bit more "out there", having a bit of a classical background, being a fan of all kinds of music and literature (I might be wrong about this, but it was probably his idea to make a Faust-based concept album, at least I know he's a big fan of the original). Fourth Legacy was more that kind of stuff you'd expect from a band called Kamelot, then they evolved, and definitely to the better, yes.

You can tell that khans songwriting seemed more prominent each album
