Spiritbox formed organically because Mike and Court were booted out of IWABO. They were hired guns and never meant to stay long-term and make decisions. Spiritbox was the result. They got married and were always going to make music together.

I wasn’t aware that they were kicked out. I thought the band just ended.

“I'm a Spiritbox fanboy and I never thought I'd ever say this but like almost half of this album is dog s h i t”
heard the same thing from other fanboys of other bands and it always reads as FALSE FAN ENERGY

after way more listens ive moved this to a 4.2 for me. its honestly fantastic. the only mid song on here imo is Black Rainbow. Every other song is a heater. Ride the Wave and Deep End are better than i origianlly thought. contender for album of the year for me

I’m one song in and why is this the muddiest sounding album ever?
I can’t understand a word court is saying and it all sounds like a murky mess?
Intentional? Offt

So black rainbow smacks. Takes that murkiness and runs with it. It’s starting to make sense.

I hate like half this album which is a weird position to be in as Spiritbox fanboy

I've changed my mind. Spine fucking rips. Everyone who disagrees, well... they can do things. I'm surprised but it might actually be top 10 for this band

Spine rips for sure. Keep sweet is incredible.
Rest of the album I need to listen more.

Album definitely needs to be digested for a bit. Great review art and hilarious you brought back the track by track.

You can't really rate this after one spin. I've had it on repeat for a while and it's absolutely kicking my vagina.
The singles are great, the two closers are ace. I think it loses a bit of power after Soft Spine, the two after that aren't my favourites, but on the whole: absolutely ace. Spuritbox knocked it out of the park.
And I like Crystal Roses.

Heard.
Actually on first spin I loved crystal roses and keep sweet the most. Will continue to jam. Big day for modern metalcore regardless.

Album is good, but I find that Spiritbox's music is better digested as individual tracks - a whole album front to back can feel a bit samey after a while, imo.

Quite surprised the response to this is this positive. Eternal Blue dunks all over this
