This definitely is the most atmospheric and ambitious record since Black Clouds

This album makes me very happy. Just sat down and jammed all the way through and it’s brisk as hell.

I wish my shits were brisk, but they’re often long, drawn out productions- unlike this stupendous album

Ily Veldin you're a great guy but this band is probably the worst of all time.

Sometimes they do a little too much wanky stuff but I generally don't think they're that bad. LaBrie maybe but if that's your hangup check Liquid Tension Experiment

Faraudo - this is the highest I've rated a DT album since Octavarium, I think it is

Venin my hangup is the whole band lol. Prog metal in general is just awful.

I can't disagree more, I like the more complex and creative writing I hear in a lot of prog metal, although sometimes it gets a bit self indulgent sometimes

Venin - Yeah, I've got to say that I'm pleasantly surprised to see the high rating. I've stayed away from DT for almost a decade, but they were my go-to prog band for most of my formative years and even saw them live twice before MP was dismissed. Suffice to say, I've got a sensitive spot for them.

Enjoying this a lot. I know it's already been said, but it really probably their best since Black Clouds.

No question that LaBrie is in much better shape now than from previous years and he sounds a hell of a lot better because of it

Yeah but his vocal melodies are so stale nowadays for me, they just feel rehashed

I will say, despite my overall disappointment with this release as a whole, Labrie sounds pretty solid. Definitely staying within a pocket that works for him with the melody choices. Definitely shines of Night Terror and Midnight Messiah

Yeah the vocal melodies on this record are very boring
