Solid. Favorite tracks: opener and Cruel Perception

enjoyed this way more than I thought I would

I felt their debut leaned a bit too heavily on the Dark Tranquillity sound but here they managed to balance it out a lot better with that early era In Flames songwriting

Must admit not much melodeath is hitting this year but this certainly is

Hasn't been much other melodeath releases this year has it?

It's still fairly early in the year, so not too much really. I know Disarmonia Mundi is going to have a new one this year for sure, will probably be a decent jam for nostalgia's sake. At the Gates are probably due for a new one soon too. And of course there's my yearly hopes for new Intestine Baalism that are always unfortunately dashed.

Wouldn't be shocked if we got another Amon Amarth this year

It wasn't amazing or anything but there were some cool riffs and it seemed like they found their fire again. Not really much else I can ask from them at this stage in their career and the lows they've put us through.

Definitely not a terrible album though.

The new Disarmonia Mundi's sounding... not good so far, unfortunately. The mixing is pretty bad.
