Second best? No love for Mister Hahn, I mean Mikey S. I have a story too. My uncle saw a Grey Daze concert. He told me this band will be bigger than Nintendo someday.

I knew somebody who worked for the Connecticut Leather Company too. I never thought they'd make a system, better than Atari.

Gave it another shot and it's still garbage. Every other song is like a Demikhov's two-headed dog except it's old songs instead of canines and also the vocals are processed to absolute shit. Still, the Over-tracks and the closing three would make a good EP.

Deluxe edition is out and this is band is sounding even more generic than ever with that final new song.

Ugh all of these new songs leave me longing they were just better, for the lack of a better word. They have some nice parts, like the rhythm and vocal melody of the verses in Let You Fade, but then the delivery and lyrics are just not it. Will just always be a Linkin Park issue I suppose haha

They just lack heaviness. I'd even be fine with the more of the ultra pop sound like Over Each Other, but these new songs just feel quite in the middle of everything and don't really impress much in any particular area.

I've been a fan of this band for as long as I can remember, and from my point of view I can't say it's the heaviness I'm missing.

This new era of Linkin Park's music is just bland, uninspired and mediocre, imo.

I agree about the deluxe songs for sure, but still think the standard tracks are pretty damn solid. Emptiness Machine felt like a nice evolution of their sound. It sounded like Meteora but also a bit different. Then there's something like Casualty which went more hardcore punk than they've ever gone before. They just need more experimentation like those songs had. If these deluxe songs are a glimpse of what the band might be doing in the future, it 'is' a very bad sign. They are painfully mediocre, as you say.

Clearly I’m in the minority, but this is on par if not better than Minutes to midnight, and frankly I think the album works really well.

Yeah I enjoy this new LP era. Particularly if you sub out the weaker stuff for some of the deluxe edition stuff. Obviously it's not as good as HT or Meteora, but it's roughly on par with Living Things, maybe a little better because I think these songs are more memorable.
