No I think onion is on to something, I gave this a third listen and it’s literally gotten worse with every listen. This feels rushed, lazy, insincere etc etc.



Which is wild, because they’ve had all the time in the world to make this, nobody expected anything from them, and to be back at after all these years, you’d think they’d have a fire up under their asses but nope.

I cannot get over how laughably bad the video for Two Faced is. Emily jumping around like a bafoon, like she does on stage a lot. It looks like a parody of who they used to be.



It is such a stark contrast comparing this shit to Meteora. Switch track to track, and see how painfully hollow this album sounds next to those tracks.

The album is not THAT bad lol seriously the hate is so unfounded. The album is just FINE. It’s OKAY. Not to mention Mike Shinoda’s not a bad singer actually

Brother the production is fucking ROUGH. A lot of these songs just don’t sound good to listen to. There’s a serious lack of catchy hooks. Mike’s bars (not that he was amazing to begin with) range from mid to face palmingly awful. The Scientologist might actually be the best part of the album.

This is a fun time overall. Overflow is a really cool different dark vibe that I've never quite heard from these guys, almost like something from Massive Attack's Mezzanine at points. IGYEIH's build up/ending reminded me of Tool which was also unexpected. Shinoda almost screaming in Casualty is also a fun little twist on his usual delivery.



A lot of tracks are decent if a bit forgettable. But I'm definitely happy with it and how it feels like Linkin Park. I understand the haters to a point but idk I was vibing with this for the most part.
