I really do like a lot of this. But idk if it’s my headphones or not, but a lot of this is very muddy. You’d think with as many delays as this got, the production would be crystal clear. But it does kinda take away a lot of the better moments when I feel I’m listening through static or something. Definitely not just my headphones, speakers sound rough too.

My main issue is the production feels very cluttered and all sembalance of good stuff is buried between either the mix or the sheer amount of nonesense be it glitchy shit or synth stuff. Even Syke's vocals get lost in the mess, which considering some of the lyrics is a win.
Objectively this is a 2.5, personally its a 2 because i cannot stand Sykes's voice.

You know, as surprisingly compelling as a lot of this is, I find Oli Sykes pretty underwhelming and one note for how ridiculous the music behind him is most of the time. Really feel like this project would benefit from a guy like Ronnie Radke doing vox

Now how this took 4 years is really a good question. Considering all the delays and such I figured the singles released along the way were either rejects or just a few things here and there to hold us over. If half the album has clearly been done for 3 years, it’s just been the biggest mystery for me. I think most of us (or at least myself) expected an album full of new stuff for as long as it took. Not to mention Survival Horror is some of their best material to date, so, to follow it up with this is a bit underwhelming.
But YOUtopia and Top 10 Statues are some of their best work for sure. So I’m happy we at least got those.

Oli said last year the delay of the album was due to unforseen circumstances, and then they lost Fish, not too long after. Seems like some internal problems caused the long delay.
I do agree the album is way too long. The idea they had for 4 EP's under the Post Human name, all with their own "Sound and mood" was a cool idea. Even Fish said this:
"I didn't think it was going to be nine tracks. I guess EP, we probably used the wrong terminology in the first place, I don't think we should have maybe said EP...
Just seems like a lot of creative differences maybe behind the scenes, plus, they have been constantly recording, along with making other random singles since.

First half of this is really strong. The only song I really like in the second half is AmEN! (and to be fair it's a banger and a half). A few of the singles could've been trimmed too. DiE4u is like 3 years old at this point.

I think Rip was one of the graver 'wtf is this' moments, but puss-e into die4u was such a devastating fucking nadir that my memories of anything before are kinda spangled
