She's always been good, but her last two albums suffered from filler, this one does not
|

she always had potential, but I think she realizes it to a degree here

Lunch -> Birds of a Feather is such a good three song run
L'Amour de Ma Vie and Blue are so damn good too tho
|
| |
still not sold on the way she sings, she’s gotta enunciate just a hair more. But this album is very solid regardless
|
| |
like don’t enunciate so much that she loses the style, but just enough so I can hear what she’s saying. That being said there are songs she’s sings a bit louder, like birds of a feather, and those are very nice
|
| |
some of the transitions in the last few songs, like L’Amour into the Diner, and bittersuite around the 1:30 mark, give me strong stereolab vibes

Listened to the entire album — it’s actually pretty great. Simple stylistic devices to a fairly moving effect — e.g., L’Amour. I’m getting too old to be listening to pop breakup albums tho.

Let's just be glad it's not over an hour long like recent pop trends
Doesn't overstay its welcome, well constructed, and just really pleasant

Agreed with 3.5

“The job is done, and the bitch is dead”
Yeah okay the film is damn near perfect. I won’t lie, there’s a lot of bias. As my grandmother, who I loved dearly, was dying of cancer… I loved the movie so much as a dumb teen I asked my mom “would she watch it with me?”
Son, she would watch paint dry with you.
I really needed more time with her. I just didn’t know how to process what was happening to her.
I’m sorry I’m trying to type this through tears. It’s been damn near a decade and she was the only one I felt I could confide in. I think vesper is her stand in. I loved her so fucking much and I was robbed of time with her. Fuck man…I love this movie so much. Goated, I literally can’t type anymore

Damn that's really sad, I understand your love for casino royale runs deeper than any flaws it might have
