this one sits in a sort of no one's land in their discography since it's better than everything they made post-1990 yet neither has the vigor of endless pain and pleasure to kill nor the refinement of extreme aggression and coma of souls

endless pain is still hands down their best record if youre into catchy songwriting and memorable riffs over technicality tbh

coma has some almost melodeath sounding shit to me, liked it a lot more when i was 15 first hearing it. its still good though but idk the teutonic bands lost a bit of their charm when they got too refined
destruction is one exception, release from agony beats any post-1986 kreator

whats crazy is i have like the opposite feeling when it comes to bands like metallica, megadeth. cant really top MOP or RIP. but the germans are better when theyre piercing my butthole raw

well i guess sodom never really went tech but i still prefer in the sign of evil and obsessed by cruelty to sputnik favs like m-16 and agent orange. i mean theres a part in agent orange that sounds almost intentionally lifted from in my darkest hour
