The cleans absolutely have a twinge of Sirius XM energy, that’s my biggest gripe with this band as well

I kinda agree. The cleans are excellent but it does seem they are relying on them a bit too heavily, or at least for my taste. Still, the ep slaps.

These vocals are incredible and are an incredible asset to the band. Calling them Sirius XM is lame

This has gotten better the more I've listened to it. Considering this is an ep, it's hard to find any flaw with it. Might just 5 it.

Clean vox are the weakest point of the band, but these guys make batshit crazy songs so I'm okay with it. Guitars are absolutely insane here.

imo a lot of his cleans sound like a lesser Greg from Dillinger. If I want to hear that, I'll go listen to Dillinger. I'm not saying he's shit lol.

Vocals, including cleans, are a big factor in what makes this band so awesome.

his vocals on foreign anchor were definitely straight up greg, but other than that I think he's in a different vocal range.

I do get the sirius xm comparison tho... if we're only talking about his vocal timbre that is. but talking this reductive we can easily get TDEP considered a NIN clone (because trent reznor)

The cleans are what lift the songs to nother level. Dude finds a surprising vocal hook for like every single track. If Greyhaven was all scream it would still be cool, but not "on repeat for days" cool.

The cleans are great, I think this is only behind Empty Black for me, but still fantastic as usual.

They don't miss

He kind of started off as a Keith Buckley/Palumbo copycat for his cleans, but it definitely feels like he's found his own unique pocket for the cleans, I think they suit the music perfectly. Great balance on this EP between harsh/clean. It helps that he's got a great ear for melody in the clean sections. Always has though.
