Like ive said some people here just like to stir the pot. Our tastes and standards for music will change.

yeah i think it just starts feeling personal when someone with a staff badge is writing in their reviews, seemingly from an emotional place disguised as logic and rationality, that essentially, you are lesser if you like this thing that they don't. and that's where it all starts feeling like "maybe they're right, maybe i am that way."
|
| |
Dont take reviews personally. If you disagree with their review leave why you like it if you want to engage otherwise dont bother engaging

normally i wouldn't...it's that staff badge that seemingly gives them an aura of "musical superiority" that just feels ick lol

Mam y'all would've shit if you were around back in the day lmao. This place was fucking ruthless.

yeah sometimes i see the remnants of "back in the day" and i feel thankful that it's calmer now.
i swear back in the day there was some review of the escape the fate self titled that went so hard on "world around me" i about cried. or maybe i hallucinated that. i don't know.

Yeah people used to get torn apart around here lol. Always fun reminiscing about teenage Hawks roaming sput in 2006/2007 before actually making an account in early 2008. Crazy how long ago that is now lol.

My Cradle fandom also used to be a hot topic for people to shit on lmao. I got the last laugh though cause lots of people around here love them now.

cradle's one of those ones i feel like i should be all over (dani's features on bands I love have always been a highlight) but i never felt like sitting through a whole album. not sure where to start either.

Nymphetamine and Thornography would be the perfect starters for you. I don't think you'd really go for their early stuff tbh.

i mean i get a completionist bug a lot of times (against my better judgment with some bands) so we'll see what happens, but thanks for the recs

ok there's two of them, do you mean overdose or fix?
|
| |
Album Rating: 1.5
Fix. Overdose is just a longer version and is skippable tbh.

Album Rating: 3.5
aye, yeah i'm jamming fix and wasn't sure if i needed to spin overdose. getting some lacuna coil vibes from the singing, i dig

Yeah it features Liv Kristine from Leaves' Eyes her vox rule.

well there's another band i should check then!
|

Also CryptoRhianna is s nice starting point tbh. Im not super into cradle, hawks knows his black metal so he knows better than me. Also as i put Hawks on it try Plauge God by Absent in body, or my friends band: Suldusk, i am shilling slightly
