that statment is surrounded by commas. so thats the same as saying yeah whatever their rip-offs. have you ever listened to those bands i listed. so your cheap comeback doesnt work out.

But there was no need for you to act like an ass about the whole thing, which you have been.

You also have your comparisons backwards. Metal bands don't pretend to be metalcore, metalcore bands pretend to be metal. Saying a real metal band is metalcore is an insult. These guys don't play metalcore, nor do they claim to play any "core" related music whatsoever. They're groove metal with thrash overtones.

Agreed. Lamb of God has never claimed to having a hardcore influence. Pure metal, maybe not the greatest, but all in all pure metal.

Jack Wilson, shut the fuck up. You obviously don't know what the hell you are talking about. The only one who is being childish is you because you're trying to claim here that Lamb of God is a rip off of metalcore bands when in reality metalcore bands are ripped off of real metal bands, such as Lamb of God. Don't talk at all if you don't know what you are talking about.

technicality...haha...all he plays is fucking blast beats and double bass. and to say that the bands i named are crap is completely ignorant when without them your "lamb of god" wouldnt even exist.

and no matter what you want to label this band as, their still a branch off of metalcore. fucking metallica and pantera are metal. lamb of god are a shitty attempt at being metalcore.

and by the way, there is nothing stupid about stating what i think about an album or a band when i stat reasons as to why i think that, whether you like or not. now stfu. This Message Edited On 11.12.06

I gave this a 3.5 because, as usual, they break no new ground and they seem to only expand what already exists in their discography. "Walk With Me in Hell" is killer though.

Time for some posthumous pwnage. I have good feeling this guy will be back soon.

who decided double bass playing through on entire song is cool

Power metal. Death metal. Black metal.

if you want real metalcore

This isn't metalcore. It's groove metal. Stop drinking mercury.

that statment is surrounded by commas.

As if you know how to use them?

all he plays is ****ing blast beats and double bass.

Blast beats actually do require technical ability. Drr drr drrrr!

without them your "lamb of god" wouldnt even exist.

Prove it.

As an aside, don't use quotation marks if you have no clue how to use them correctly.

their still a branch off of metalcore.

In the anti-matter universe of Qwaad, sure. In reality, no. Don't debate this with me because you will lose.

lamb of god are a ****ty attempt at being metalcore.

How much crack did you have to smoke for that to make sense?

there is nothing stupid about stating what i think about an album or a band when i stat reasons as to why i think that,

This is true. Why aren't you doing that instead of this verbal diarrhea? This Message Edited On 11.13.06

but going back and listening to this album for the first time in about 2 months, i think it might be closer to a 4, but it isnt as good as ashes of the wake, which is a 4, but no higher. Ahh, like a 3.9.

Decently solid album but IMO it's a step down from Ashes. And to say that Chris alder isn't a somewhat skilled drummer is downright ignorant. This Message Edited On 11.29.06

excellent review.

I only got this album yesterday and i've listened to it a few times. I think its a grower, although blacken the cursed sun is sick.

Is any of their other albums worth getting? This Message Edited On 01.02.07

YES! This is by far their worst album, but it is still pretty damn good. Check out As The Palaces Burn or Ashes of the Wake. ATPB in my opinion is their best effort.
