pulp namedrop it in common people (hence johnnys comment)

She came from Greece she had a thirst for knowledge
She studied sculpture at Saint Martin's College

I've heard that song a million times yet can't say I've ever noticed, lol

the first line is actually rather memorable, but not the second except the word 'college' - funny thing huh

but also, yes okay

I feel sorry for songs not named "Ghosts" cause I've been having this shit on repeat for a few days, it's just so calming...

I am a vapid superficial airhead yes but the album art is so horrifically bad it is detracting from my enjoyment. Like it's being mediated through a lens that's hard to palate

idk I kinda like the backlighted effect, though it unfortunately has the effect of also washing out the lovely blue background

this is very grimesy. it is not weird or out of place to make that comparison.
I get that people don't like grimes all that much (makes sense), but to deny her influence on this very specific niche of pop music is just short-sighted. Even if you take away everything, the relevancy and atention she got from Visions and Art Angels is still more than enough.

This is definitely quite good but for whatever reason I’m just not really clicking with it. Prefer the last album, I found that one more emotionally absorbing.

It looks like a poster for something someone at Netflix would 'green light' hoping to double down on the success of M3GAN

No, the influence is there sure, but calling it a "Grimes impersonation" is weird when this doesn't sound like any Grimes album

This sounds like what Grimes wishes she could do.
