I knew they got a guy to tour but I wasn't sure if I made it up that he also became an actual member. Kinda hope Donovan at least contributed to drums cause I like his style, and I'd rather hear him than somebody just emulating him

Because off the name I was expecting some Kyuss worship. Boy was I surprised.

Allen is a great drummer. His old band VIS was rad.

It is shocking that a swancore album this good exists in 2023.

I dont understand all the hate against SwanCore. Royal Coda released their best LP. Dwellings and Dance Gavin Dance delivered as well. Properties of Nature have some interesting Songs.

For the first listen Divine Inner Tension dont catch me as much as their previous releases. Maybe a grower. Best current Song: 60-Minuten Session Blocks.

There are some good albums/bands that get called Swancore. Then there’s garbage like Eidola

Yeah Swancore had its hits, but the genre's currently out of gas. New Dwellings is boring, DGD are absolutely exhausted, Royal Coda is a glorified tribute act to the genre (look at their lineup!).

Its golden days were quick and they're over until a new artist with zero prior connections to the scene brings something new to the table.

What we really need is a new A Lot Like Birds album. Or a new Sufferer

God bless this website for never making Swancore an actual genre label. Common RYM L. Even if Swancore isn't "dead" the label at least should be. Referring to everything even remotely adjacent to DGD as Swancore is at best lazy, and at worst cringe.
