"Main guy's hooks are good but his voice is slappable"

Finally someone said it. Could never get into this band or so many of their contemporaries with this particular vocal style. Literal nails on chalkboard.

All five of these songs are still getting heavily played for me, but Childhood Eyes, Hiding In The Light, and Honest From The Jump are perfect.

Key just had his first kid (a son). Ten hits totally different now. Also in the post, he said big things are coming in 2024.

Some warmer weather has been hitting my region and now I'm getting the itch to play this again.

Sowing, how would you compare this to Southern Air? Went through a 9 year relationship ending and Awakening really fkn spoke to me.

“Guess I miss you so, and probably always will”

SA is their best album, is untouchably #1, and also came at a critical turning point in my own life.

This is like SA vibes meets Paper Walls, not quite as emotionally powerful but still hella nostalgic.

Could be the 1 year lap nostalgia, but I blasted this EP on repeat all Summer '23. Already have some grand memories with it so I think the 5/5 will stick.

really cool release on the whole it's basically like having a new YC album from 2010
