Loic is what actually hooked me on the band in the first place. I had heard good things about the instruments of course, but something about the way he sings/screams really clicks with me. He's very expressive.
Nascent is a great example of this; the little grace notes in his voice during the softer beginning are just *chef's kiss*

you can be distinctive as anything and still have zero personality to show for it (phwoar boi this *is* a prog thread). the ocean making concept albums about prehistoric geology etc. works fine as a technically oriented spectacle, but if this record is supposed to be a history book entry about the ongoing State Of The Earth then lol sorry I'm not feeling the imminence (or anything beyond the performative in his voice)
