everyone checks everyones ratings
I don't check anyone's ratings. I also don't go on their facebook profiles to dig up shit on them, does that make me weird?

Well, it appears that you don’t have any mental illnesses but rather symptoms of rationality, the text was in French though, I may have misinterpreted it

i kinda enjoy the band when they go melodic, but in the riffing department they’re so severely lacking. the lifeless, pro-tooled or whatever production jobs don’t help. no one plays that cleanly at these speeds.

This is really getting dull for me. It's generic chug chug chug goblin vocal outro more chug. Rinse repeat

The lack of dynamics and distinct riffs has always irked me about this band

Never really enjoyed this band and now ever since the vocalist went on a chest beating tough guy rant trying to dox some 14 year old kid for leaking their album art I also massively disrespect them yeehaw.

There is a point where extreme metal is just senseless noise and Cattle Butthole reached it

My issue with CD and death metal in general is that I struggle to find the "hook" that makes me want to come back to it again and again. More often than not, I have to remind myself to listen to some of the songs again because they don't have a memorable enough impact to the point where a riff or a chorus will pop into my head making me want to listen to it again. Ear fatigue, as well, is a big issue with me when listening to DM
I know talking about Meshuggah is akin to memeing about Neutral Milk Hotel, but there is a reason I come back to their stuff literally every day. Because so many of their songs have a discernible hook that becomes an ear worm. More recently, I've really gotten hooked on Gatecreeper's "Deserted" because it has a vibe and bounce that doesn't wear thin. I don't know, maybe I'm too basic for stuff like this. /shrug
