Yeah, Pearls is pretty annoying ngl 🌝
Lightning does stand out from the crowd, probably for the better but also hmm 🤔 maybe… I mean it woke me from my slumber for a hot minute at least

I WISH a song like Pearls would make it to the charts, but no we get Taylor Swift and Drake
|

She’s had a handful of tracks chart, it could happen

I get what you're saying tho, it's not that much different than say Dua Lipa, but usually the charts are about big names versus good music
|
| |
Well exactly, disco was already basic in the 80’s, you gonna try and tell me dua lipa would be appropriating that shit if it wasn’t radio friendly? Disco revivalism is trending hard.

"Mileys new album was disco too? Gotta check that out."
It's not really, kinda all over the place, but some songs are disco-y

“and her last album was 3 years ago”
How is that even relevant? This was going on for like a decade
Her Jessie and roison basically all sparred off that year for best nu disco pop album while that was at its peak of pop culture relevance, something that started in electronic earlier in the decade and worked its way to pop.
Jessie is still going at it because disco revivalism is still and probably always will be relevant in the gay community which is a huge part of her demographic hence the “lip synch for your life fodder” comments
