You never watched snow-white on acid? Jk
I guess it's the cheesy clean vocals. It's like in those Disney movies when they start singing. I'm not saying they're bad, they're just very cheesy in my opinion.

as someone whose band has been called Disney black metal
I'm on board with it

they would need to really change their entire formula and then produce something great to top Portal of I. That album and the main 3 songs are just so epic, and at that time 10 years ago just really hit like nothing i've ever heard. imo the best metal album of the 2010s.
i will say this is very good though. very cohesive, mix is a bit high on the bass and low on the guitars though. but it really works. hope they put out more studio playthroughs, very entertaining and gives me a better feel on what is going on

it's certainly not bad but it also makes me want to go back and listen to Xenoflux that's probably not a good sign

Drowns out David Attenborough shit just nicely. Gonna watch some tigers tear each other apart when the blasts kick in

I found this band in like 2007? It had to be around there, in college just sitting on a bench on campus noodling on my bass and a random guy came up and started talking to me about what I listen to and then asked me if I listened to BTBAM, which was pretty much my fav band at the time and I'd never met anyone who'd even heard of them, so we talked for a good while and he had somehow befriended NeO's bass player on the internet and he sent me early playthroughs of like Forget Not and Felo De Se and I was blown away and super into it, I think the EP wasn't even out yet because I remember having to wait a hot second to hear anything actually recorded from them.
Anyway I've loved this band a long time and stagnating in their sound is a valid complaint but they're one of those bands I really come to for a specific sound and as long as they deliver it with passion and quality I will be very happy.

It's happening! I'm finally starting to really like... well the first song, anyway. The way the growls sound also bothers me much less now

Wtf a 4.8 garland rev. First listen and I thought they tried so hard to make a brilliant bass that everything else got drowned in the mix. As if it all got mastered in the bassist room, without any supervision XD

I'm getting bored with the squealing violin in my ears. These guys are super talented and they would have used the violin more like they did in 'Graal' as an additional atmospheric element. That might have made it stand out more and put an innovative take on the use of the sound. As it is, every song had this violin part that screeches into your ear, as I'm sure is intended. Mix it up, boys, the shrill is overdone.

That's definitely a take I guess. I found them (the violin) quite organic to be honest.

I love this almost as much as Portal I! This is a amazing album, these guys knocked it out of the park! Misericorde I and II are my favorites, the songs MUST be listened back to back and are my favorite NeO songs ever. Amazing album, last song is obviously a outro and not my favorite but this album is FANTASTIC!
