They overating it. Everywhere else on the net it has like average praise. Didnt make many year end lists, got tons of average 7/10 reviews, etc etc it doesn't really seem like a hot acclaimed album for the year anywhere except for on this site tbh. It's a solid album ig its alright

malignant altar, last mortiferum album, last undeath, last immolation, skeletal remains,200 stab wounds, hyperdontia, and many many more all take steaming shits all over this.

This is easily better than every one of those, apart from Hyperdontia (close)
Opinions huh

I think it’s kind of ridiculous to care at all about what the “metal press” or any other group of consumers thinks about the quality of albums. I know what good and bad is and no one else can define that for me, and no one else should let it define things for them either.

aren't you teaching sociology or some other mickey mouse subject, egarran
|
| |
Yes I did teach culture with a strong dash of sociology at the library school. That's some years ago now, so it's ok to deride it.
But you see how it can be useful in a sputnik context.

Is this even OSDM at this point? I feel like the term has lost all meaning. Like all the newer dm bands wear their affection for the classics like tattoos, the old school has become modern.
|
| |
yeah i agree with that honestly. OSDM meant way more when shit like deathcore and periphery were the big draws in metal but since the nostalgia wave has taken over its hard to find a death metal band that doesnt at least give a tithing to the old school.
