Damn I leave for a day to work and this has to be one of the best threads on Sputnik right now.

@snakesc I know you’re asking about the album, but Mars’ answer is not only applicable but it’s the only correct one.

@Mars Okay well that sounds promising. Don’t forget you guys also picked up Robert Woods and he’s a great receiver.

@everyone else - fuck the browns.

Yeah Woods has been underrated for years imo, that is a good acquisition

Yeah I was a bit miffed when we traded him… probably in the hopes of re-signing OBJ who still hasn’t signed because it’s OBJ.

Oh I'm very excited for Bobby Trees! His recovery has been going very well and he's a perfect veteran presence for our young receiver corps. Full confidence he can add some stability to the position for us, which is, like I said, the biggest concern our offense has.

OBJ's injury wasn't as clean as Woods' and it was a re-tear of his prior ACL injury. Part of the reason he isn't signed is because he likely won't be able to see the field until the later half of the season. Teams might not think he can keep healthy either.

Yeah Woods is an excellent addition. And very valid point on OBJ, it’s just a bit frustrating. Apparently Allen Robinson is looking pretty good at camp though so I’m hoping that acquisition turns out to be worthwhile.

And obviously Cooper Kupp is… yeah Cooper Kupp

Y'all should still be the proven favorite n the NFC West until proven otherwise. Cards have consistently failed to get over the hump and I still have doubts about Kyler Murray. Meanwhile, the Seahawks are missing key pieces and the QB position for them has taken a big step backwards.

Like I said before, Niners are the main threat, but that's a team that has historically faced abnormal injury issues. Their success also hinges on Lance being the right guy for them. Granted, the Shanahan offense can kinda pilot itself, but I feel like they're looking for a QB that can really elevate it.

All facts. Shanahan does tend to get the better of McVay even when statistically the Rams are better though so it’s still frustrating lol.

In other news, it’s my anniversary today and in keeping with tradition my wife and I both totally forgot…

Gotta scramble.

P.S. Going to work now, but if Sowing is a Broncos fan… someone should get him involved in this thread.

Is he? I've forgotten his allegiances.

And happy anniversary! Enjoy the day.

No, spare him. The Panthers will be awful enough to experience as is.

I have personally had a pretty solid time cheering for Baker the past couple years (considering what we had gone through prior)

I mean, can you even cheer for the Browns for the foreseeable future? I don't think I'd be able to support a team that makes such a terrible move, it's just an absolute slap in the face.

I became a fan during our 1-15 season. We were promised that we wouldn't have another 1-15 season and they pulled through and delivered us an 0-16 perfect season. We are very used to making terrible moves and getting slapped around.

You do you man, I could never stand by a team that pulled the move they did.

In other news, Kyle Philips is already getting first-team reps... kid is a STUD in the making I swear.

Okay I’m back. Salvaged the anniversary, so today was successful.

One of the earlier comments made it seem like Sowing was a Broncos fan but if he is a Panther’s fan then you are correct, Mars… he should be spared.

Btw wtf on this whole Dolphins fiasco now? I’m so fucking confused. I thought they were getting fined because of the whole Brian Flores thing but now Tom Brady is part of the picture? I don’t get it…

Apparently they attempted to tamper with him and Sean Payton. Got exposed, got punished. Can't do that stuff to individuals under binding contracts.

As for why the NFL came down so hard? They always will when the integrity of the game is on the line, especially if it potentially impacts their bottom line. DeRapist Watson is a scumbag, but to the NFL, he isn't hurting their growing betting industry and revenue. Tampering, however, might do that.

Money talks Mars. That’s the unfortunate reality of the NFL (and most other sports).

Whatever, Dolphins already sold their souls for Tyreek despite the fact that Tua is nowhere near as good as Mahomes and Tyreek is probably gonna be a washout this year.

Unless I’m wrong. That could happen too.
