Honestly, kinda agree with Jesper. The shitty production works in the albums favor for some weird reason. Still wish it had more clarity like on Crisis and Watch Out but still, doesn't ruin the album for me.

watch outs production is perfect. was not thrilled about the prod here at first but i settled into it pretty fast as it works for the aesthetic theyre going for. only song that i wish sounded a lil better was dark night of the soul, which is unfort since its probably my fav here

100% agree Dark Night would be top tier with better production. It's honestly strange, some songs on here sound like shit (Dark Night, Survivor's Guilt) and others are produced beautifully (Sans Soleil, Mistaken Information)

Wouldn't be surprised if this has multiple producers credited, the sound is pretty inconsistent.

it is my understanding that this was not mastered hence the inconsistencies between tracks

So it was definitely intentional, fair enough.

Reverse the Curse almost sounds like it was recorded live. Definitely has an "arena" feel to it.

Sans Soleil, Committed To The Con, Dark Night & World Stops Turning are my standouts on this thing. I really don't like Mistaken Information and I think Blue Spade is meh - but other than that, everything else is pretty tip top.

Got through 2 and a half songs here, this is really bad. Didn’t get the production criticisms tho, sounds like all the other raa raa guitar music

"raa raa guitar music"
Not too familiar with this genre I see lol

I don’t even understand what kind of mental gymnastics someone would have to do to convince themselves this even deserves the alexisonfire brand

“ Not too familiar with this genre I see lol”
It sounds like it wants to be stoner rock, in which case the production is extremely par for the course, but it’s stuck in the trappings of all the worst mainstream post hardcore, which sounds like shit in its entirely own special way.

never checked this band outside of Watch Out, but I thought this was pretty much how they signed off? why the brand valuation?

In any case I’ve probably heard about 80% of the bands you have rated jay which I’m sure is a good enough reference point
