That Rats Return riff is really growing on me. So beefy

"what a fucking douche lmao"
Wtf. I'm not the guys biggest fan but it seems like a pretty nice thing for him to say. I don't see what the problem is

While he is clearly egoistic in general, nothing from that quote is douchy or wrong

One of the highlights of this record is that it made Omair appear!

Well, this was actually pretty good. Maybe needs one more absolute banger, but I could easily see this rising to a 4

Wilson is a genius, no doubt. Listening to this for the first time and so far I'm impressed.

Excited to dive into this!

The instrumental versions of the songs on the deluxe edition are pretty special.

I like how there's like 50 people that worked on this record and nobody was like "that's a stone temple pilots riff".
|

i mean there's only so many riffs one can write in this style
it's basically all been done

The metal riffs are usually the most whatever part of their sound and that’s no exception here.
Is there an instrumental version of this? I love that Wilson did that with his last four solo albums and FoaBP. More artists should.

I think it's been years since I last saw Omair, thank you Steven for bringing him back!

Its similar to the interstate love song riff, but its slower, has more individual notes in it, it really isn't the same, its different enough to be its own thing i reckon. I doubt SW listens to STP so it would of just been coincidence.

This was alright. Nothing I'd come back to often, though. Harridan and Love in Past Tense are my favorites, I think.
