"Exclusively streaming on a subscription podcast platform that literally no one cares about"

It should be noted they shopped around, and weren't happy with the deals they were getting from other streaming services, so this is what they did. Not saying it was a smart move, but hey, that's what happened. I still haven't heard it, but by all accounts I've heard it's a great album.

As far this goes, not feeling this album all that much. Great from a concept and storytelling perspective, but Kendrick has done that far better in the past. He lost me after TPAB. A lot of these beats aren't that great, too.

Does one or both have a stake in luminary or something? If not I imagine they got paid a stupid amount of money cause why else would you want to make your album exclusive to a niche paywalled platform that isn't even known for music.

edit: they both have multiple exclusive luminary podcasts lmao would you look at that

discourse in 2011 was like "this is good" "nah it sucks" "ur mum" and discourse in 2022 is like "was doing a no-death elden ring run until kendrick used the f-slur and made me lose, this album is a hate crime"

fair but one would imagine kendrick lamar in 2022 is more aware that that's a word he shouldn't say then the average sputter in 2011 lol

There was a time in which Sinternet would comment on every new prog thread/list just to shit on the genre

It's just how it is. Gotta like him despite of that fixation I suppose
