The compositions here just feel so two dimensional and flat idk but when it settles into a groove it slaps
|

good ideas here and there, lack of cohesion and conviction
whole thing feels thrown together n uninspired imo

I love that they're continuing the Radiohead tradition of road testing songs they just wrote, that's 2 for this tour now.

Yeah, a few listens in I am pretty much in the more mildly positive camp here. Aside from the occasionally post-punk flirtations (which nobody could call particularly “inspired” in 2022) the sound is well within the wheelhouse of later Radiohead and the songwriting is mostly just solid with a handful of standouts. Could’ve easily shed a few tracks too, not that it’s absurdly long by any means.

If Thom Yorke moaned into a microphone about chopping garlic over an ambient synth for 40 mins, would you guys at least 3.5 it?

It feels like an off brand Bends song

Television is goofy, but a boring pick for worst song
Pana-vision is a more annoying cliche of the rh tropes this album cruises on

Imagine picking the worst song off an album by any metric other than which is literally the worst
