I won't take an album with a song about and whose title translates to "Big Tits" too seriously, but were I to genuinely, briefly critique this album: Till Lindemann drags the band through this record with his vocal work. Neither their industrial samples nor their guitarwork is particularly or consistently compelling on Zeit, and mostly buried in the mix under the vocals. At its worst, Zeit succumbs to EDM synths in at least two spots, most notably in "Lugen" with added autotune on Lindemann. "Angst" is the standout track on this thing where they let the guitars out of their cages a bit. Apart from that, this isn't a great album. It's really boring.
What drives me up a wall is that if they just had anyone with a decent idea about how to write industrial music, or maybe wrote a solo and stayed away from the one-note chugging guitars all the time... they could really have something!

Industrial Metal stopped being a thing in the mid 00's

There's 3 Teeth plus Author and Punisher is taking it to a new direction. But yea Industrial Metal seemed to go strong mostly in the 90's. What an underrated sub genres. Pitchshifter, Godflesch, Rammstein, Megaherz, Eisbrecher, KMFDM, Static-X, Ruoska, Prong, Fear Factory, Misery Loves Co.,Strapping Young Lad, and many more some great bands,
Even Danzig tried to get into the action which I didn't think was that bad. lol

The lead up of the first few tracks to Giftig+Zick Zack is just brilliant. They got the album pacing right here.

agreed, the momentum up to zick zack is amazing, it's just a shame the quality wanes a little from there

"This song describes the lamentations of a lonely man who longs for a wife. He doesn’t need her to be smart, beautiful, or rich—she just has to have huge tits."

First Rammstein album that didn't have at least one outright obvious fantastic single that would get stuck in my brain for months and months afterwards.
Angst might be getting there though but we'll see. And the album does work as a whole.

Armee der tristen, Giftig and Zick Zack all bang, man, they still got it after all these years, it's crazy.
Halfway through the album and loving it.

And you're all high and bad trippin', Lugen is one of the best tracks here. Bless that autotune parody.

Your review makes me want to listen to the album, I only heard individual songs up to now.that heavy side of Rammstein is what I enjoy, I hope the songwriting is up to it. I dislike most of their fun/silly songs
That being said, "fun" shouldn't be used to describe "Puppe"
