I'm indifferent on the line, but yeah I guess it kinda took me out of the song when I heard it. Singing about "corona" was fun/funny for like one month in 2020 but I'm so tired of hearing about it at this point. HOWEVER I do think that line will age well because it's a true sign of the times. I just don't want to hear it right now. lol

I get when people don’t want art ABOUT Covid yet. That line doesn’t bother me, though, because it’s not about corona, it’s just using the time when we were thrust into a pandemic to, well, mark time. And corona DID hit, and the moment it hit is definitely one of those times you don’t forget.

No, that for sure helps explain why it might sound weird to some of ya'll but not to me at all. Cultural context or whatever. I find the 'frustrated with my fellows' line a lot less palatable.
