I've basically lived inside this album the past two weeks - everything else has been a vacation "away from home" in some strange sorta way...haven't felt a gravity towards something like this in a long time.
Traced was definitely one of my most listened records a decade ago, so all the synapse firing makes sense haha...but man, totally wasn't expecting a Cynic record in 2021 to hit me so hard.

similar stuff for me, I think this is as inspired as it gets and I really enjoy this new incarnation of the band. sounds like a mix of Portal, all eras of Cynic and something new entirely

Would’ve been a fantastic EP if it consisted of Mu-54*/The Winged Ones, Ha-144 until 6th Dimensional Archetype, and everything from DA’z-a86.4 to A’jha108. Maybe Shar-216/Architects of Consciousness too. The interludes should’ve just been part of the main songs instead of broken up into tiny tracks.

Curiously enough I'm not feeling this that much at all after repeated listens. It's great but it doesn't come remotely close to TiA and Focus.
