I like the transformation these guys are doing. It reminds me a lot of when JFAC released Suneater and all of a sudden became worth a damn.
Obc these guys are doing a totally different style of music, but they have definitely made a big stylistic change for the better.

tbh barely follow JFAC but i can see that
|

I never followed them either until they released the Suneater album, which immediately grabbed my attention. Shame they disappeared after that.
The way these guys are changing, some of their shit sounds a lot like Rivers Of Nihil. Sounds crazy but I hear it every now and then...

I definitely see that. I said this earlier in the thread but this is what The Work wanted to be
|
| |
That would have been a clear improvement for sure. The Work was so disappointing man, made even worse by how much I adore Owls

I definitely hear it as well, maybe why I enjoy this and none of their previous stuff

wild that Whitechapel's catalogue was largely a decent, but slightly boring mass of interchangeable albums (a couple standout tracks help in particular S/T and Our Endless War...especially Diggs Road from the latter) until The Valley yet this masterpiece of melodic, acoustic, and heavy moments mixed in with itself is what's "boring" from them according to fans... ok
