i feel like some genres you can kinda just get away with being another solid band that exists in the sphere and then you get shit like this where if you aren't literally the inventor of the eight string guitar you are just derivative bum juice lol

meshuggah elitists are among the worst of its kind in the metal sphere, up there with the burzum butt buddies. Honestly, I'd take Tool elitists over meshuggah elitists any day.

@Jeet I wasn’t specifically referencing any band, even Meshuggah. Just stating it’s silly to me to think that because someone did a sound first makes them the best

I didnt mean that just because they did it first makes them best. But that helps yes. their the innovators and pioneers of this whole sound. But What I'm saying is meshuggah have like 5 albums in a row that are classic. Five 9/10 if not 10/10 albums in a row. These guys dont have that catalog. Whether you personally like the meshuggah catalog or not that's irrelevant because in general their catalog is set in stone by the majority of listeners as a classic catalog of albums. These guys dont have that. the influence,impact,importantance,catalog,longevity.... But I mean like who you like. At the end of the day tho truthfully These guys will always just be seen as a meshuggah knockoff/clone and that's the truth.

So by that logic, every pop artists are knock offs of the very first pop originator, the argument is so nonsensical. Meshuggah fans are just an excessive toxic fandom, that's it.

LMAO guy if you like this more than meshuggah great. I listen to tons of new school death metal that pretty much just copys old school death metal and it all sounds the same so I guess I cant speak to much on copying. If you like it you like it is what it all comes down to.

i saw meshuggah open for tool and that was the worst concert i've ever seen, meshuggah just played the same song for 40 minutes and tool took an extended break with a looping CG animation on a screen with androgynous acrobats hanging around doing shit, was seriously like an hour of that trash
