Hey, the artwork for Heartwork was a Giger original

This honestly just comes across as lazy. Is this really the best they can do in eight years? The whole album sounds like SS B-sides.

This doesn’t even sound like SS though. Also, it’s better.

Many bands do not have the same fire they had in their early days, taste, standards, influences change. Creative burnout is also a thing. Personally enjoyed this album a lot, I do agree this may not be up quality for some fans to appreciate.

It's borderline 3.5. Every time someone gives it a pull (3.5/4) - it pops up, every time someone gives it a lower rating - it slips away. I think that's what's going on.

It's really dumb. Number of votes should determine what's trending, not how good the album is.

The trending pool has a number of variables, and I can see why, nevertheless, I'm not the right guy to clarify that. Imagine an album with only negative ratings, even if it has a lot of votes I don't know if it will make sense for it to appear on the list.

review comments affect it too, no?

Loving this album. Bill Steer is my favorite Death Metal guitarist of all time. Jeff’s voice and Bill’s riffs are divine pleasure to my ears. The last 2 years of life have been shit, this was much needed.

For those who don't have the cd or vinyl the crisp vegetable heart on the cover is shown in several continuous photos to decompose and deteriorate until it looks quite putrid on the last page. (In case that increases anyones opinion of the album art) Also you cant tell very clearly on the small thumbnail of the art, but the red artery of the heart on the cover has the carcass logo in it.
And on the back cover it has what first appears to be a real human heart until you look more closely and see that the muscle and colour of it is made up of severed pig heads and body parts.

The album art is silly at face value, but yeah the decomposition and severed pig heads really bring it together and it feels very "them."
Also the audacity to sell the vinyl variant with a custom plate and kitchen utensils. Incredible lol
