Same here Slex. There are other "better" albums this year but this is just one of those ones that feels warm and personal. Like I'll eventually forget about an album that blows my mind instrumentally but I will never forget one that makes an impact on me emotionally.

Clutch comparison. That's pretty on point, too. I think these guys are a bit cleaner vocally/melodically/structurally which leads to a more memorable experience. Westelaken has a special magic of their own that it inimitable, though.

Oh yeah definitely a difference songwriting wise but vocals and lyrics are pretty similar even if this guy sounds wayyyy more polished lol
