Crazy that this post-rock album that heavily employs sampled audio to convey a left-wing, anti-corporate message is drawing comparisons to Godspeed

the comparison was born due to the fact that the gybe disc dropped like at around the same time or so

Looking back at this, I find myself regularly listening to it on my way to work. I found the video on YouTube that supports the message of the album, and maybe it was even meant to be an audiovisual experience to strengthen the intention behind the composition. What I found listening to this album, is the year-long moment of solitude, thinking about the state of affairs I see myself surrounded with. It is a reflective piece of music that will stand for the pandemic, but also the outlook on a industrial past and a future that steps out of a negative loaded nebula.

The climaxes in this album are some of the best of all time. You can't remember them?

This is pretty darn incredible, way better than anything GYBE has done on their last few albums.

Listened to this again last night, still holds up as my AOTY I'm thinking. Colors II and Cynic close behind though. Excited to get to list-making this year.
