If anyone is interested in an ambient album with similarly short tracks that does a much better job of creating an atmosphere, Susumu Yokota - Sakura has you covered

dunno how comparable that is outside of the format, but can confirm that album is much, much better than this (and Grinning Cat is better still ;])

I've been vibin on Komachi by Meitei lately, i could use more Japanese ambient if it's all that good

surprised at all the 2 and sub-2 ratings. this is pretty average / inconsequential

about halfway thru and it doesn't seem terrible
|

Not terrible and inconsequential? Thanks for the rec!

check it out ! *steve brule face*

(also I don't usually fw dark ambient of this particular stripe so I wouldn't be able to recommend anything of a similar mood/palette other than like... idk Deathprod, I guess?)
|
| |
2 is for terrible sometimes
and other times it is for seismic inconsequence
if this is a true universal 2.5 and not a traditional 2, I'm not exactly gonna feel worse about 2ing it

should’ve gone full trap metalcore

@johnny that's fair
|
| |
tbh yeah it doesn't really have a prominent enough low end to be proper dark ambient, but it's downbeat enough that I suspect that's kind of what they were aspiring to on here
|
| |
yeah idk about dark ambient either hmm
|
| |
It’s fairly dark
