Over time, I've concluded I do prefer Proper Nouns as a whole though, the best songs here top the best songs there but as an album, Proper Nouns has glorious flow from track to track and such a nice atmosphere. That album narrowly made my top 100 from last year, but if I were to redo that list to how I feel now, it would definitely make my top 25.

that’s very interesting to hear sunny! I’ve kinda distanced myself from that album now so to know it has risen in your estimation warms me I guess. mad to think it was only last year it was released as it feels a long old time ago. but yeah I am made up that anyone would give it that much time

Proper Nouns is one of those albums which grabbed me over time for whatever reason, and that I always turn to in a certain mood when nothing else will do. The Heavy Frigate is very good and arguably a "better" album to me but it doesn't have that same connection with me (at least yet).
