Maybe I'm being overly naive/optimistic, but I think it's equally plausible that the family members' political affilitations have changed them to the extent that it's caused considerable conflict/caused them to be shitty people. Wouldn't assume he means "they're Republican, therefore they're dead to me". I dunno though, who cares I guess.

Nah, the lyrics are fine.

It's entirely possible given the climate in the states atm.

"you disagree with me politically so you're dead to me" is basically post-trump politics summed up. but yea that was pretty cringe. beautiful insight.
Either way that entire segment of lyrics was just lame to me. The fk he even talkin bout, coen brothers? who doesn't still love them o.O

Pika...I like you. Don’t fuck that Up.
All these bands just keep fucking up big time lately. Defeater started sucking after LG, La Dispute after Wildlife,
I take much umbrage with this comment. Panorama is fucking awesome — literally tied with Wildlife as their best album. Now, YOU TAKE IT BACK!!!

For once I agree with him, Panorama is their worst with an awful production.

I'm with Larkin. Panorama is the best La Dispute album.
love how everyone is talking about the wave bands

in the end the only song I return to from la dispute is such small hands and it's like 1 minute long.
actually that's not true rooms of the house is pretty legit, woman reading is a jam. panorama was .. forgettable.

Rhodonite and Grief tho

Panorama is awesome if you want to experience what it's like to hear a singer being recorded in a different room.

I see Rooms of the House still gets no love.
Panorama has an incredible beginning stretch (particularly both Fulton Street tracks) ending with Anxiety Panorama and then teeters off in quality until the closing track - which I still don't how I feel about it.

Rooms is the weakest Dispute
In other news Limelight is heavily stuck in my head since spinning this.

Wildfire is one of post-hardcore's records, given the strength of the narratives and how solid the compositions are. They've never been able to give a follow up with the same degree of passion and emotion, though their last record was definitely a step up from Rooms (which was mostly forgettable).

Reminders reminds me of the chorus of Memories by Weezer (from Jackass 3)

Ross Robinson's production on this is so punchy. He made Deflector ten times better.

That dude does quality work generally.
