Yeah I'm pretty close to stamp a 5 on the review, the Bauhaus cover was the weak spot but even that is growing on me.

'Crippled Black Phoenix is a progressive/post rock supergroup from the United Kingdom consisting of members of Iron Monkey, Gonga, Mogwai and Electric Wizard.'
Woah wtf? - and they have a ton of material. Is this a good place to start guys? Nice review Dewi.

Cheers, Demon. Ummm tricky question cause this is the first album they have without the usual singer (that sings on I think, the rest of releases).
I would say jam this first, enjoy it for what it is, a fantastic collection of very well crafted songs featuring an amazing line-up of special guests on vocals, and then work your way through the old material.

This one is really super good and among their best material so I'd say yes. My personal favourite - and I think it's their most popular - is I, Vigilante, maybe you could start with that one :]

Honestly, this might be their best album

I agree.
I think, regarding past albums, going backwards would. Musically, The Great Escape and Bronze are similar to this one. There is a bit of a drop in White Light and Mankind, both are good but not so good, and then I, Vigilante which was my first and a great one and the debut which is good too.
The rest I didn't jam them or I don't remember (they have a lot of EPs too)
"who is the girl Dew? Belinda Kordic?" affirmative! Cry of Love has Suzie Stapleton doing chorus but the rest is all Kordic.
