I have to agree the raw and unhinged vocal delivery in certain sections of the Healer are my favorite part of the record. Aaron's deep guttural growl can start to wear on me after a bit so when things like this happen it reminds me of what a "artistic" vocalist he actually can be when given the chance to do his own thing

"I get the intent was to be off putting and uncomfortable but that weird growl that ends in a falsetto yelp on the opener is so yucky"



He does it several times across the record and it makes me cringe every time. I do agree that his deep growls can get monotonous so hearing something different would be cool, but not like that lol Still slays though

Not that different from some shit I’ve heard on plenty of black metal records. Glad I’m not having any issues with it lol
